Xbox One owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection are now able to jump in to the multiplayer beta test for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians. Set to run for the next three weeks, the Halo 5 multiplayer beta had already opened in a limited fashion the weekend before Christmas.
Any player who owns a new copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection should already be able to access the beta test, so long as they download the beta test information. 343 Industries is looking to bring Halo up to speed with some of the more modern conventions of shooters including the much debated iron sights, a feature noticeably lacking throughout the series.
Not only will the test give players an early glimpse of the meat of Halo 5’s multiplayer offering, it will provide 343 Industries much needed server stress test information, especially after the problems surrounding The Master Chief Collection’s matchmaking.
The Halo 5: Guardians beta test is scheduled to run until Jan 18 with no official launch date for the full game.
